- Confirmed that the check engine light is on at time of the inspection. Using a hand held electronic scan tool to communicate with the vehicle; Found two faults in the system. 1.P0455: EVAP System (Very) Large Leak Detected 2.P0456: EVAP System Very Small Leak Detected Performed a system check and was able to determine that the purge valve located inside the engine compartment is defective. (will not hold vacuum, stuck in the open position)
- Customer approved to remove and replace defective purge valve. Clear faults and recheck operation , passed. Drove several times to make sure the check engine light stayed off.
