  • Hook up scan tool, no fault – was cleared. Found that the fuel trim values are slightly high but not at the 40% mark that was noted. Performed a system check to find vacuum leaks that can cause high fuel trim numbers. There were some vacuum leaks coming from the valve cover and top of intake manifold. The most change (drop to normal numbers) is when testing the oil separator, there is a large vacuum leak coming from this area. Need to replace the oil separator, valve cover and install new seals for the intake manifold and fuel injectors.
  • Customer approved to replace the valve cover due to vacuum leaks at gasket area and major oil leak inside the spark plug tubes. (oil filled the are were the spark plug boot goes into) Clean boots to be reused after installing a new valve cover. Customer approved to replace the oil separator, had to remove the intake manifold to gain access to the separator. Found a major crack at the PCV valve hose at the separator. The new oil separator comes with a new pcv valve and hose. With the intake reinstalled with new gaskets and the fuel injectors reinstalled with new o-rings the engine runs great and the fuel trim readings are very low (with in specifications).
  • Customer approved to replace the front right upper motor mount. Verified repair, no more heavy engine vibration noises. Engine idle is smooth.
